How YOU doin’?
We’re the Manship’s – Mark, Ines, and our beautiful daughter Amilia. We live in the charming little city of Niceville, FL, alongside Florida’s breathtaking Emerald Coast. While Florida hasn’t always been our home, we’re looking forward to setting roots and enjoying all the area has to offer. Our previous location (Clovis, NM) was home to many significant parts of our lives, including getting engaged, married, buying our first home, adopting a quirky long-haired cat, and bringing home our little heartbreaker of a girl; we hope that Florida is yet another chapter in our blessed lives.
Ines and I have a passion for transforming the old and outdated to fresh, cozy, and clean…and on a budget. Our addiction to repurposing and restoration stemmed from our first DIY project: our Albuquerque wedding, and has grown into quite the hobby over the past three years.
We began this blog as a way of keeping our family up to date with our fixer-upper renovation which started back in September of 2013; since then it’s evolved into a fun way to keep our relatives up to date with the Manship’s happenings, but more so a way of giving back to the DIY community. We hope that by sharing our experiences, ideas, mistakes, and successes, that you: our family, friends, and followers, will be able to better tackle your own home improvement projects, whatever they may be. In turn, we hope that we learn something from the renovation community, and can use those tips and tricks of the trade to create something really special.
From our posts you can expect to find honest accounts from part-time DIYers; whether you are assembling your first piece of IKEA furniture or completely gutting your house, it is our hope that we can offer whatever smidgen of advice or information to get you started (or finished).
Ines and I feel very blessed to have been afforded this opportunity to stretch our creative minds and exercise our inner HGTV, and can’t wait to share our progress; we look forward to hearing from you!
